Furniture sliders for a full-body workout? If you’re looking to add some variety to your workouts, consider a “Slider Workout.”
The maneuvers are “body-weight” exercises that use many posture & core muscles, and you’ll probably be surprised at how tough these workouts can be.
You can buy “gliding discs” from sporting goods stores (about $10-20 for two), or… for as little as $5.00 at a hardware store, you can get a 16-pack of furniture sliders (and put a bow around the extras and give them to a friend as a gift). You can also use paper plates on carpet or hand-towels on a slick floor.
Here are a few videos demonstrating many, many exercises you can do with sliders:
I recommend first trying EACH of these while watching the videos and then, since there’s some overlap in what parts these exercises work, just choose 4 to 6 maneuvers to create a 10 to 15 minute workout. Download a free HIIT or Tabata timer to your phone, and start your first slider workout. E-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need any help deciding how to set your timer or structure a full-body workout.
